Does anyone on here have torque v. rpm and hp v. rpm curve diagrams for any of the cast-iron motors. Id like to get an idea of where these numbers peak. Thanks guys!

I don't and like you , wish I did. However in line with both being longer stroke smaller bore engines, it should be close to thesame. A better comparison I think would be the old 1-lunger's verses the new large bore smaller stroke multie cylinder engines. I bet we'ed all be surprised.

Theres one on the site comparing torque of newer 2 cylinder kohlers vs. others. I'd be interested in seeing ones comparing the briggs and kohler singles.

The Briggs manuals on the site list torque numbers at specific RPMs. The 12hp puts out about 21 lb-ft. at 2600 RPM. A 10hp puts out 16 3/4 lb.-ft. at 2400. http://simpletractors.com/operation/300401/page_5.htm http://simpletractors.com/operation/243431/page_5.htm If Kohler published their numbers, maybe someone with a manual could give the specs?
