I AM THINKING ABOUT CHANGING MY 414S WITH POINTS TO AN ELECTRONIC IGNITION. IS THIS POSSIBLE? IF SO, HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT, AND HOW MUCH IS IT GOING TO COST ME?

Yes, it is possible. While Briggs engines can be converted to electronic ignition for as little as $10-$15, converting Kohler engines is more involved. Converting a Kohler could cost up to several hundred dollars depending on how much work you can do yourself, and your parts source.

Try Pertronix. This is a catalog link: http://www.pertronix.com/ignition_products/ignition_catalog.htm You will have to call Pertronix in California. 909-599-5955 Kohler kits are around $100
