I traded some stuff for this 716H with no motor and a blower. ALso got the clutch for the front too. I put my 16HP motor in it, installed the clutch got the releif valves in the trans unstuck and put the blower on today. Runs and drives nice, and I even got the wore out 912 muffler to fit on it. All 4 lights work too. It's in pretty good shape, just could use some paint. No clue what you traded for it but I think you got it just in time, where some TLC will make it shine again. Good score, least from my view.

Thanks for the comments, Yep, Its a 42" blower. I actually paid $350 canadian for it with the blower and no engine. I was told the bgb was rebilt and the lights were new. It looks like it's been looked after pretty good other than the rusty hood and fenders. I traded my 912H for the 416H in the background, and some other stuff. I have a set of chains to put on it, just gotta dig them out. Front tires leak, and the steering is stiff but some oil should help it out. I won't be getting a hydraulic lift for it, The manual seems to be ok. It's not really that heavy. I'm happy with it and I think it will be a good tractor. I'll get to find out what it's like to blow snow with a single cylinder this winter.

Looks like a great trade to me. You'll love the snow blower, but let's hope you don't have to use it for a couple more months yet. How about a pic of your engine install? Please.

Nice addition to your growing fleet Graham! Looks good! Just in time isn't it? You should be getting some of the white stuff before too long I'd guess. It's November now we can expect anything from here on out. I think Marty has already had some up there.

Thanks, I hope it blows as good as the twin does. I wouldn't mind if it snowed tomorrow. Can't wait for it now a have a toy to play in it with:D:D. The engine just dropped right in. Runs super and dependable. Everything went on easy, just had to tap the hole in the crank because it was full of junk. Here's a couple pictures of the engine. I think Marty has already had some up there. YEP, been getting more all day, comming down at a 20 degree angle to horiz. But I got two loads of wood in anyway. Think you'll find a 16hp single plenty of power for blowing any snow.

Nice looking tractor a little TLC and paint should service you for a long time! If there is next time or if anyone else replace a engine it would be nice to take step by step pictures for us rookies!

I do it all the time, It's pretty simple. 6 bolts and some wiring and other stuff. I think someone may have already done a step by step thing. The hardest part is actually getting the engine into the tractor. I just finished intalling a 14HP into my 416H tonight. Runs good, just need to get throttle cables hooked up.

I like the 900 and 700 seires, but it's hard to beat the 3/400 series. Only problem with them is attachments, theyre harder to work on, and parts arent all avaliable anymore. If I remember right, the manual said the blower weighs around 150lbs. I used my fathers last year on the 917, but I thought it would have threw the snow farther. Here's a couple pictures of the 416 i traded the 912 for. It is now 14HP. Looking good Graham. I'd like to find a 416H myself. Been sidetracked with the B-112's that I picked up this past spring.I have a project 312 in the shop thats been waiting on me to finish for months now.Don't want to give up too many details on it yet and ruin the surprise but I'm sure you'll like it when I'm done.Hint-(Think hydrid)[:0] You'll have to update the pictures of your fleet. Graham, does this mean the 16 hp Kohler is no longer for sale or is this a different one? Did you get your other computer set up?
