mikeb Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Is the 3 point hitch stuff for a Powr Max hard to come by? I have found a 720 for sale, but it has no 3 point hitch. In fact, even the cross shaft has been removed for some reason. It was my understanding that even when the Powr Max did not come with the 3 point, it still had the rear cross shaft as it provided the lifting force (via the hyd. ram) thru cables for the center mounted implements. Anyway, it's all missing: the lower draft arms, the adjustible links, and the cross shaft and lifting arms. Don't know about the ram yet, can't tell from the pictures and the tractor is several states away. Just curious if they're around and what typical costs might be. The tractor is a 720 with an Arc loader and rear pto, no deck. The tractor seems in relatively good shape, other than the missing 3 point stuff and a missing seat. OH yeah, the owner indicates the engine just stopped working one day, something electrical he thinks. He's willing to part with it as is for $1500. Whaddya think? Should I jump into the deep end with both feet? Thanks for the help, mike bennett
UCD Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 The loader is worth that price. Yes pow'r max 3 point hitchs are hard to come by but are out there.
JP Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hi Mike, Maynard's right! It's available out 'there'. Price out a Kubota with a loader & when you 'come around, after the smelling salts' (LOL)..... Let us know what you decide! JP
MPH Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 I say jump on it. I made a 3pt for my 4040, through I did have the cross shaft on it. I'm not a real iron worker of any sort and it wasn't too tough.
