Gear Tranny problem

I have a 3212V. I shifts fine into 1 and 3rd, but will not go into 2 or R. I searched but can't find discussion of this symptom. Is it the fork?

My 710 six-speed did that when I got it. Used the bent screwdriver trick and its worked fine since.

I'm gonna guess the bent screw driver trick in in tech tips and artitles. Know it got saved somewhere here. If it works, here's one Got the $50 tractor home Nope, cut and paste didn't work, if you go to tech tips, click on Kents post about catoreries then go to trannys you should find it. Sure there is an easier way to get there but thats how I found it.

Hi, If it locks up in 1st and 3rd, the unit should move in 2nd or reverse if the shift lever is in neutral. If this is true, the bent screwdriver fix that I posted several years ago should fix it. Al Eden

It does lock up in gear yet. It shifts fine 1st to 3rd and you pull it back in neutral but it won't rock into 2nd or reverse. I'll check out Al's posts.
