richp Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Finally got hydraulic cylinder for power angle on plow. I think I got all the bugs worked out for what looks to be a long CT. winter.
MPH Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Hey Richard, how about some close up pics of this set-up. Where did you get the hydro power to operate it?
ehertzfeld Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Hey Rich does that pump drain the battery down too much? I have one also. Dose that power the lift as well as the angle? Elon
Karl_Brandt Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 This is how my 46" snow blade has power angle. This set up is on Simplicity 3416H tractor and runs off the vickers pump. Karl www.simplicityva.com
richp Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 No battery drain problems. I have factory electric lift and a seperate hydro unit for angle. I really don't angle too much, maybe 8 or 10 times doing whole driveway, so not using too much juice there. The hydro init was given to me from where I work, I just put seals in it. Whats nice is it is set up for double action or single action.
PhanDad Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Great modification; I'd also like to see some close up pics. Thanks.
richp Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 The only day I can take closer pics is on sunday. It's the only time sunlight and myself are home at the same time. I go into work in dark and drive home in the dark.
richp Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 Here's some more pics. Notice my rear weight. I welded a 2" reciever for trailer hitches or in this case a hunk of billet steel. It's also nice to help raise ball to tow my boat around the yard.
comet66 Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Nice looking set up, it should be real handy not having to keep getting on and off the tractor.
