More winter projects! Two Broadmoor II 6008s, one with a working mower deck. The one with the mower deck has a siezed engine, and will soon be a 6011 after I replace the motor. The other one, which the seller called a 'parts tractor' actually runs, but smokes bad. That one will be rebuilt. No parts were taken off the parts tractor--it's complete! The one with the deck appears to be a 1981, judging by the motor numbers. The tractor number is 005246. The ID plate/sticker for the one w/o the deck is gone, except for a corner w/ no number. The motor on that one was built in 1976. Don't know if motors are orig.

You got a good find there! Looks like the one without the deck hasn't been run much, the paint and the decal in the front isn't burnt like all mine have been in the past from the exhaust.

Yes, Tom, they were. It was $85 for both. Include the $95 ticket I got nailed with on the way to pick them up, and it was almost a $200 day![:0]

Thanks boney. The previous owner of the property had a swimming pool there. It makes a perfect loading dock, plus there is a working outlet there.

looks like your collection is growing nicely Jim. BTW what are you picking up with that monstrious bag behind your other tractor??? I do still have that walk behind tiller if you still want it. Elon

Hi Elon--the tractor in the background is my Agway (Murray) I use for the lawn. I have Kirk's leaf vacuum I got from him at Colchester mounted on the back, and made the leaf trailer out of a 5' X 6' trailer I pulled out of the woods on the property and got rolling. I framed it with leftover wood I had in the house and aluminum screen. It held up okay, but the interior-grade wood warped after the first rain! I need to weld a frame together, when I learn how to weld! Nothing is original as far as the leaf collection system goes--The tube from the mower deck is a modified MTD one, and the hose I got at the tractor supply store. A few rivets and large hose clamps and I was in business. Very strange machine. Cherry, but strange. Like an OK/average frame, with 5-lug wheels! Why? I will take that tiller, but don't know when I can get up there. Doing the wife's rear main in her subaru (+clutch, all gaskets and seals, etc.) This weekend and hopefuly finishing by next weekend, before snow flies. I'll IM you.
