Briggs & stratton hand tools???

Has anyone seen the TV add for the new briggs & stratton hand tools? The offer a cordless drill & a laser level. I think the drill is only 9 volt, They don't look to be very good quality. With them now owning simplicity, it makes me wonder?

It's nice to see an American company that is at least aggressive.Yamaha makes things from boat motors to pianos.Fuji heavy industries makes ships to film.Nobody is mocking them.They are trying to make Briggs and Stratton a household name and their products will sell themselves.Doesn't Kohler make bathtubs??????

The Briggs tools are NOT made by Briggs, they just allowed a tool company to put the label on for brand recognition. Briggs dealers will not warranty the tools or repair them - at least on an official level. And yes, the same Kohler made the bathtubs first, then the engines. They are still the same company, just two different departments. I agree with going for brand recognition, but until someone can tell me what company is making the power tools, I won't get too excited. Tim
