FrankP Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Ihave just about enought spare parts collected to build another B-10. I have run accross a 16hp briggs motor that looks like it could replace the 10 hp that would have been in the basket case B-10. Will it fit? here is the numbers. The model # is 431 type# is 0020 01 Code # is 7610251 These are all the numbers that the guy gave me. Thanks Frank
Kent Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 While I don't know anything about the specific type numbers, a 16HP single should bolt right in, replacing the 10HP. However, the 12HP and larger use a different flywheel fan and pulley system than the 10HP engines. If the 16HP doesn't have that "booster fan" setup, you'd need to find one to make it fit...
Chris727 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 You also would want the oil fill on the side of the pan, but thats as simple as changing oil pans.
FrankP Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 Kent, It looks the same at a 10hp except the gas tank is where the start should be. It looks like this picture http://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/product.asp?PN=243431-1172 Thanks Frank
