finiky 7016H

My 7016H runs perfect but Sundstrand hydro somtimes doesn't. I'll start it up but won't get any response from the transmmission. I'll let it warm for a few minutes but still nothing. Somtimes when I return in a few hours it starts and goes fine. I have removed and put back both the charge check valves and relief valve to some success. But the problem persists. Can anyone help?

How long has it been since the filter has been changed? Also does it have the correct amount of oil in the the transmission? I had one that was real sluggish until I changed the filter and that was probably the original filter. At least this is a good place to start.

Hi, Above is right on. If that doesn't fix it, I would suspect the charge pump is getting bad. In 23 years here we have seen about 3 that had to be replaced. Check the alternatives as they are expensive. Good luck, Al Eden

I think the filter was new when I got the tractor about 3 years ago. I havn't changed it yet. Is that too long. I only use it to snowblow and a little skidding in the summer. Thanks for the help.
