Snowblower on broadmoor 728

I recently found a broadmoor 728 for my friend. He was so happy with his new old tractor that i decided to find a snowblower for it. I got a good deal on one off of ebay. It came off of a b207 or 208. I mounted the blower onto the broadmoor and the hitch seemed just right but the belt had too much tension. I figured if i got a new belt it would work ok. I am going to visit my friend and put the belt and and see how it works next week. i wanted to check the conversion charts to verify that i had the correct belt but could find no reference to the blower model 160009 or a b208 or 207. I am guessing that if i use the 110.1 inch belt specified for the 728 it will work. Can anyone verify that this will work////// thanks, John

As far as I know, the B207 and B208 is the same as the Broadmoors. It should work just fine. I have smaller pulleys on my 5008 so I use a 105inch belt. Just let your friend know the dress up in slickers when using it. lol It's nice that you converted somone. lol Elon

The answer is a Belt and Blade manual and it is free. You can down load it. The drive belt for a B-207 & B-208 is Belt # 1666801 Length 80.1" type HA The drive belt for a Simplicity 728 is Belt # 108209 Length 82.1" type HA There is no direct cross for the B-207 B-208 to A simplicity model. You can not find MFG# 160009 because that is not the number it is 1600009 and is only listed for the B207 B208 The Blower numbers for Broadmoor are 990293, 990477, 990562,990882, Small driven pulley and 1690034 large driven pulley. I don't know where you came up with the 110" belt for the 728. Belt# 108514 length 110.1" type HA is for a Simplicity Broadmoor 5008 with blower # 1690034. The Broadmoor 5008 with blower # 990882 takes Belt # 108209 Length 82.1" type HA

Elon, it took some convincing after he heard about the 100 dollar tractor. I told him not to worry. After it stared right up and cut so nice he was sold. SHould have told him i paid more. I am too good to my friends. IT even has new belts and a newer briggs motor.
