noisy half pulley

My half pulley on my BGB is very noisy on My Early B-10. According to the simplicity pubs it should have a thrust washer (AY on the drawing)in it but mine doesn't can anyone tell me more about this? There is a lot of space (clearance)between the thin bearing material (AZ on the drawing) and the outer half pulley(AX on the drawing) i was wanting to know how much there should be. It will make rumbling noise when I have the brake on every other time or so. I couldn't figure out how to download the picture out Adobe.

Al
HI, There are two pieces for this pullery. First there is a strip of plastic about 1/2 by 6" that rolls up and fits inside the loose flange. Then with that on there is a round, about 4" plastic disc that fits on the outside the loose flange and the plate that is bolted on the outside as a reatainer. These make that clutch smooth and quiet. Al Eden
