SmilinSam 3,914 Posted January 15, 2005 Anyone ever forget a tractor they currently own? Was at my Mother in Laws the other week to pick up the Boys after school when I got off work. Saw a Simplicity 728 sitting in the GArage and the conversation went something like this Asked the boys : Whos tractor is that? Its yours, they replied. Really? Yes Really, you don't remember? Really? Where did I get that one? You traded Jerry some Cadet parts for it last winter... Really? Does it run? Of course it does. We cleaned the carb on it and have been mowing with it here in town all summer. HAs a couple of slow leaking tires, but it mows nice. Huh... Forgot all about that one. Wonder what other things I have laying around here and there? They probably think the old man is losing it.....

rokon2813 272 Posted January 15, 2005 :D:D:D[:0] You'd really have to get a good look in my garage to fully understand. But right here at home, I can honestly say "Been There Done That" :I:I:o):o) After not touching my stuff for 4 months with a job, I actually had to wander around looking several times to remember what all I had, and I'm still finding small stuff that I don't remember getting. Tom_Byrne 0 Posted January 16, 2005 IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS: 1) I went to look under my front porch for somthing and found a Broadmoor I shoved under there to hide;) 2) Went in to the basement to look for a vise grip that was lost and found a Broadmoor parts tractor- another forgotten item:I 3) One of the guys on my squad mentioned an Ariens snowblower he wanted to get rid of, and I remembered the one I had tucked away near an old coal bin in the basement:I! Too much stuff, too little time.

SmilinSam 3,914 Posted January 16, 2005 quote:Originally posted by BLT "I'll put it down where I won't forget". 30 seconds later, "Where did I put it?" Thats the sort of thing I regularly do in my shop and it really gets me worked up, as in " Just how stupid can I be?" ...of course if I want that question answered all I need to do is go ask the wife. She'll answer that one without hesitation I imagine.....
thedaddycat 153 Posted January 16, 2005 quote: "I'll put it down where I won't forget". 30 seconds later, "Where did I put it?" Yeah, and then you always end up finding it in the last place you look for it....
MPH 12 Posted January 16, 2005 Don't have any CRS problems here, just frost bitten brain cells I believe, walked out side friday at -40 after recueing my buds house digging out a wood stove and cutting some wood for it at 60 below and went, Gee, feels pretty nice out. After looking at that thing hangging on the tree at -40 I said ,'self, your sick', then went and walked my trail. Think I need help.

It's different thing however when the Mrs is about two seconds from going ballistic when she can't find her car keys accusing you of putting them somewhere and she'll be about ten minutes late to get her nails done. Of course nothing is ever said when you find them under a pile of mail that she had to get from the mailbox first.

Walk 40 steps to the shop to get something, and stand there in the doorway with a blank look on my face, trying to remember what the heck I was going to get???
