Broken belt

Recommended Posts

The starting belt on my B110 dissenergrated while I was blowing yesterday. Fortunatly thet tractor was running so I just let it run all day while I moved from place to place and cleaned driveways. Q. What's the easiest way to change the belt? It looks like I might have to take half the tractor apart to change it.

I think all you need to do is take the driveshaft loose where it bolts to the flywheel. It should flex enough to allow you to get the belt between the shaft and flywheel pulley.

Just remove bolts to drive shaft. Besure to replace disc washers as they came off rounded side to the disc. There is an access hole in botom of frame tunnel to loosen set screw on rear drive shaft flange so it can be slid back if need be.

And don't try to start tractor until driveshaft is hooked up again. Just ask this fool who did not listen to his own advice. Major damage.
