Transaxle question

On my AC 816GT (Simp 6116) I have only third gear, after cracking the transaxle apart I found that the gear (for 1,2,R ) on the "pinion shaft and gear assembly" that drives the drive gear slips on the shaft, the gear on the assembly that drives the drive gear for third does not, I see no set screws or such that can be tightend. There does appear to be a copper? bushing between shaft and gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks, Scott KD7VKW

My 6216 tranny did the same exact thing. I swapped out the tranny and haven't cracked open the case yet. I'm curious what you'll find...

hmmmm...It is odd your's did the same thing (or maybe not)...I do have a lead on a used part to fix it (from a club member). I am interested to see what you find with yours. Thanks for the reply and let me know what ya find out. Scott KD7VKW
