Briggs Flywheel Question

Recommended Posts

I was able to break off the magnet from the flywheel on my Briggs 14HP engine by using stupidity instead of the correct tools. I have a couple of flywheels that have magnets that look like they would fit this. Are the magnets removeable and replaceable or am I in trouble? I plan to switch over to a coil ignition system but I think it will be very out of balance unless I fix this. Any ideas?

I wouldn't use that flwheel, you can never get the polarity right if you try to put the magnets back and like everyone said I wouldn't want to be around if it let go.Later Jim

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
