AC 310S or 410S

Just received a AC today (with mower deck) and have searched the site and am finally giving up that method, but not sure if it is a 310S or 410S. The eng is K241S, Serial 2531209433 so know figured out it is a 10 HP Kohler. Engine stopped working two years ago, but looks good and should be easy to get working again. Tractor serial number is 29941865. Eng is different than my 410S, so suspect it is a 310S. Can anybody confirm? Thanks, Rich

Forgot to say, hood has been painted so decals have been removed or painted over. Rich

If the lift lever on the left pushes to lift it should be an 310 and should have 4 bolts on the top of the side panel, one about 2" below the other will make it an 310. The front axcel should be solid on a 310. :D

I thought the 310's were offered with variable speeds and the 410's were offered with the shuttles.?

Looked at the 300 and 400 series service manual and SmilinSam is correct. So I guess I have another 410S. Now I'm only curious why the engines look different. Will check closer tomorrow when sleet/snow stops here in Md.
