Welcome waxen!! Good looking dog and tractors, but it looks like you already solved your muffler problem. The first time I've seen that particular solution. Pretty neat idea.

The picture is from 7012 7016 manual. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_493_03_LT_S.pdf It's a Briggs engine for his tractor. He says he wants to make one. Costs too much to ship.

I did a little plumbing on my AC713S, and used a Cub Cadet muffler.

This is a cheaper muffler, and from what I have heard from others it is supposed to be a little quieter. It exits through the hole in the hood same as stock. That is a 13 Hp B/S engine. I know this is not what you asked for, but thought you may be interested anyway for ideas.

I disected an OEM muffler and posted the specs in Tech Tips for you. Just remember, those are Yank measurements. What are you guys using now, Metric, Imperial, Whitworth? Hope it helps you...........

That appears to be as about as close as you are going to get. The elbow into the muffler will be your next challange. I thinkk I have that in my extra inventory just by looks. Rod's configuration also looks like a winner.
