I am looking for a way to vacuum and shred leaves with my 728 Broadmoor. I was even looking at a DR Vacuum or Cyclone rake. The website for DR says will not work on left hand discharge which of course I have. Has anybody out there hooked a DR Vacuum or Cyclone rake up to a left discharge?

Simplicity made a vacuum for the smaller Broadmoors. The are Briggs powered, do not run off the PTO. Might get lucky and find one .

Here are the pictures of my leaf catcher. It is the only one I have ever seen for the smaller tractors..

Hi Welcome to the club! Have you tried looking up Easy Vac manufacturing? As I know that Easy Vac made a vacum system specifically for Garden tractors with left hand discharge shoots. I currently have one on my Agco 1920H. They are powered by a 5.0 Briggs and Stratton engine. You will not be disappointed in getting one of these vacume systems. I will try and find the website for this company. Have a good day Jason B

MY TWO CENTS: You may be best off going with an aftermarket like Jason suggests if you want one right away. The original vac system for the Broadmoors seem to be a very rare bird- Iv'e never seen one here except in old ad photos, and Iv'e been a member since 2001. My 707 appears to have actually had one sometime in it's life- but all that was left when I bought the tractor is the discharge plate for the deck.

I would check with DR Vacuum and Cyclone Rake. I have a blower assembly from a Broardmoor like the one that's posted. I converted to work on my right hand discharge Landlord. I just turned blower 180 degrees and modify exhaust system. Landlord has a 50 inch deck. I like to find a blower assembly with a bigger motor. Check with Trac Vac www.tracvac.com They make left and right discharge vac systems.

Guys, thanks for the input. I checked with DR and Cyclone and they bot said thier's won't work with a left hand dischareg. I did check with Trac Vac and they said they have a model that will work. I am going to look at it on Saturday.

I bought a new Trac-vac in 1985 for my Left sided Case. I traded it for a new right sided broadmoor. Now I use it on a left sided 917H. I have really got some good use out of it. It has a 5 horse briggs. I have used it for 20 years . I have seen them every once in a while in classifieds. well worh the cost.
