ambler Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I think I have too much stuff. I may have to pare down. It started small just a couple 7100s. Them it grew out of control. Then I just needed the next attachment. Now I feel enslaved to these machines. The Garage Down to the Barn
MarkM1958 Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 [:0] OH MY GOD Ambler!!! I wish you lived a little bit closer to Indiana! I have a little bit left on my credit card!!! How do you like the front end on the 7117?? :D 8D
MDB Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 quote:Originally posted by ambler Help me before I buy again. OOOOOO You have got it real bad......:D:D:D:D:D There is no know cure for your condition, the only treetment is More Tractors.....;):D:D:D:D
ReedS Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 There may be a 12 step program for this but I can't help because I think that I may have the same addiction, I haven't been able to park my truck in the garage since the last "haul" LOL :D:D
MarkM1958 Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 OOOOOOOOOH, ps,,,, Thanks for all the pictures, I just had wireless installed and pix are a lot more fun to look at!!!
Dutch Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 As I've been told many times, "You don't own alot of stuff. It owns you." Still nice looking stuff you have there, IMO.
tractormike Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I don't see any problem! Just someone who has a healthy appreciation of classic metal.
Vinnie_A Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Thanks for the pictures. After showing them to my wife she thinks that my six tractors are really not that excessive. Oh by the way, send some pictures of the ones stored in your camper.
lndscpr Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I have come to terms with the fact that i have a problem. Now the problem is deciding what to get rid of??????? I will start with the ones that aren't running. Anyone want to buy an hb112 with potential!!!!!!!
TomMaryland Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I noticed, Ambler, that alot of those tractors are pointing East (my direction :D) I wouldn't say your enslaved to them, maybe your their overlord! Yes thats it! mwahahahaha Of course, if they don't get enough attention, they might start plotting a coup...... Which might mean that you'll need to send a few of those Sovereigns across the state...to breakup the leadership of the revolutionary faction, of course! 8D
firefoxz1 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I started out with someone giving me a free 7012 that needed some attention (free is always good) but now I find myself buying them. I have to stop so I can spent money on the ones I already have but there always seems to be that bargain that comes around so I end up buying it. I only have 6 Simplicities but I have another ten of another brand. It is a problem, I admitted it, so now where's the help.:-)
SimpleMan Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Wow:D:D:D. It's embarassing to think I think my garage is full with only two.:I:D. How many years worth of collecting does it represent?
toad270 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I think you just need a BIGGER garage so it doen't look as full But i would be glad to take some old AC stuff off your hands
ka9bxg Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 You do have a problem but it is not to many tractors it is not enoph room to put all those poor babys inside. You should be ashamed of yourself for making them stay outside. No simplicity should be left outside. You need to get them inside soon.Good luck. Bob
Jovee Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Hi -My name is Joe and I'm a Tractorholic.... lol. I also have the problem. Started out with 2 freebies and now the count is at 21. What's bad is I only have a 30x80 yard. What's worse is I'm taking my wife across the state on our anniversary weekend to bring home 2 more [:0]
Jason Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Hi First of all I would like to welcome Joe(Jovee) to this great club, thanks for joining us you will really like it here. Ambler: Collection Garden tractors is a good kind of problem to have as there are far worse problems out there that us tractor collectors could have then collecting tractors. I am a bit of a tractorholic myself. I currently have a Agco 1920H, DA 1918 Utima and a 512H Agco Allis. I am sure I will own more tractors as I get older. What really got me intrested in Garden tractors was my Agco 1920H, I can't get enough of these tractors and hopefully I can control my self if a Dealer has five or more 1920/1918's on his propertyLOL. I would want to bring them all home with me LOL. Take Care Jason B
ambler Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 The major problem is that you spend more time working on them than playing. I think there are 17 of them, not counting the 6-7 I sold. The timeframe has been two years. Dutch the blade has been very useful, this year we expand the garage and barn. Right now I'm parking the 7112H out front with a blower to find a new home. The 712S has a new home. I'm starting on foot draggers now. I might be interested in that HB, does it run. does it leak?
slippery Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I got 3 tractor b10 ,gilson , mtd . And 3 boats , 2 motorcycles, motor home , 72 jeepster commando. all need to be finsh. Even if i want to sell any . I have a hard time in parting with anthing. help
AGCO918 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Nice collcetion of tractors you have there. You need a big barn to keep all that stuff in.
john-holcomb Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Ambler, That looks great to me, My wife would love you. Take your pictures and add about 30 Olivers [full size] and it would look like my house. My wife says she's willing to live in a tractor junk yard because I don't go to the bar, chase women, or gamble. I think she's just waiting for me to croak so she can have an auction. Did I mention I have around 500 toys, tractors trains , trucks, cars, ect. But then she has over 100 antique dolls. Seems like if a tractor shows up a doll comes soon after. LOL John

PhanDad Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Wow, whata collection. How do you find time to use/play with it all? I can only dream! I wish I had more room so I could collect more. Maybe I'll have to build another garage dedicated to tractors!
