controlled traction differential

I read the article on traction problems by Ridgerunner and didnt even know this was there. Does this exist on my landlord 2110? Is there two screws to torque on the driver side tire? I had problems with my second landlord tractor with the driver side tire spinning and checked clutch adj. and still spinned. I put chains that I cut down from my truck chains and it still spinned. I compared them to my original tire chains for my first landlord and there were a lot more crossmembers so I exchanged chains, it helped some but seems like it still spun to much. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Yes, it is on your 2110. The two bolts are on the right axle hub. They should be visible from the outside.

I honestly can't remember at what point they changed over. Its possible a 2110 may have them, and its easy to spot. In the other post in the pic from Maynard? the bolts stick right out, you cant miss them. well I guess that answers that. LOL Kent posted while I was typing.

The 3300 series Simplicity and 700 Allis Chalmers went to the new spring and gear style traction control differential. The 3200 series Simplicity and B-200 were the last with gear differential and traction control hub.

These don't come on the A/C 300 or 400's either. I have an HB rear end, and it seems to have a small set screw. It dosent have the bolts. Is this still the same thing?

Yes, the set screws were used instead of the larger bolts so you could put dual wheel adapters or spacers on the hub, in the case of loaders to move the wheel out enough to clear the loader's subframe.

I jacked rear ends of both tractors & the tractor that spins-the muffler side of the tire spins freely and the other tractor doesnt. does this mean the differtial is got some broken pieces or teeth worn?

Not neccessarily broken. The studs/set screws tighten down on a nylon sleeve. With excess slippage the nylon heats up and expands thus "locking" the slipping tire. Turning by hand will not create enough heat for the "non-slip" to work. My thoughts,

And When I first joined the club, I thought they were spare lug nut holders... LOL! Little did I know.
