hdrhdr Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I am going to start looking for a mower deck for my 725. My problem is, I don't know what size to buy. The tractor has been re-powered with a B/S 10hp. Should I look for a 32", 36" or 42" deck??? Thanks, Randy
Kent Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 The 10HP will power a 42" deck with no problem. Unless you're really concerned with "correct original" which I doubt, since you're running the 10HP, then I'd recommend the 42" -- they're much more common and easier to find in decent condition. Also, the 42" will "mow out the tire tracks" while the 32" certainly wouldn't do a good job of that, and the 36" only if you are running narrow 6" (instead of 8.50) rear tires....
