tillerman Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I just picked up a 712 shuttle. The shift lever won't move to go in gear. Does anyone have a remedy for this or is it junk? It doesnt go in neutral either. It just seems to be locked up.
HubbardRA Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Do a search for shifting problems on 3-speed trannys. The shuttle tranny is basically a 3-speed with reverse removed and an additional forward gear inserted. There has been several discussions on this topic. If I remember correctly, the shift fork can sometimes jump out of place. If this happens you can usually pop it back into place by inserting a screwdriver through the oil check hole. You need to find one of the previous posts. I don't have time to do a search at this time. I think "thedaddycat" was the author of one of the topics.
tillerman Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 Thanks Rod. I found exactly what I was looking for. Thanks to Daddycat also. Richard
