Cub Cadet tractors........the best never rest.

About a month ago i bought a cub cadet 1200. The bad thing is that i just love it! I cant drive it enough and i'm always talking about it. It's all shaft driven and never has any trouble. My brother, who is a simplicity fan, is always telling me to shut up! He has a sim. 7790 diesel, and when we pulled they were excactly even. He still thinks his is better, because it smokes more.(It smokes like a freight train) . But the cub is much better in my opinion :) John Mark

What is a Cub Cadet?[:0]:( Is that some sort of Tractor? Maybe you should paint it Simplicity Orange or AC Yellow THEN you wouldn't have any problems at all.... :D:D:D

Must be pretty boring over at the cub sight tonight for you to be over here trying to start something. The simple truth is a 7790 parked in the shed not running is more tractor than any 2 cubs put together. Not to mention a Powermax. Your statement is only your opinion. It is not the sentiment shared here. Thanks for the interest. Is'nt it past your bedtime?

You should have a respect for all machines no matter if it's a Simplicity, AC, John Deere, Cubs built before 6/81, older Bolens, older Sears, or whatever, you should respect all quality machines and the people who own them.

Cubs are great tractors, especially for plowing... Plowing up your garden with a moldboard plow... or Plowing up your lawn with one of the worst mowing decks around... I'd much rather have a Wheelhorse to use, or a John Deere to sell... Or a Simplicity to keep and hand down to my kids.... :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Max most of us do respect the other brands. In this case it seems John is trying to stir something up. Kind of like walking into a biker bar and shouting "bikers are limp wristed panty waists" or something to that effect. Do that and you deserve what you get!

I dunno...when my $250 deutz and $250 Homelite (both A/C built) both brought home trophys for my kids, while their cousins' $3000 and $4000 Cubs did not, I had to wonder which was better. ;) Seriously, I had to wonder why anyone in their right mind would want to spend that much money to LOSE when my junkers were winning. [:0] And by the way, KOHLERman, my junkers run 12 hp BRIGGS against those 3 and 4 grand worth of 14 hp kohlers. Hopefully, this made everyone smile, as it was meant to. Sometimes even truth has humor in it. 8D8D

Well, I didn't really mean for this to turn in to such a BIG fight!!! To tell the truth, i really do respect the simplicity brand, cub, ford, bolens, sears, deere ect. I really did not mean any harm. I just ask you all to please not take offence. Also, D-17 Dave and Dirt Saver, You especially, used some pretty hard words, and again, i apologize for my part in it. Okay, case closed unless you have anything "decent" to say... sound good? KohlerMan

A neighbor of mine that lives just a few houses from me has a 12HP cub and he seemed to like it pretty well. But then he bought a Simplicity 14HP with the 14 Hp Briggs. He only has room in his shed for one tractor. Guess which one is sitting out in the field never being used. IT SURE ISN'T THE SIMPLICITY.

I found one good thing about a Cub, when I put the 12 Hp engine from one on my 61 Wards. They are good tractors, just over-rated.

Fair enough John! A truce it is. Sorry if I was too rough on you but the way your post read it I took it as a slam against our tractors.

My objective point of view, is that the Cubs are well built machines. Heavy on framework and can take alot of abuse. The trannys are nearly indestructible.... But, in my opinion the steering is poor and the decks are the absolute pits to mow with.

Oh this is getting political now....... The RBT party has spoken. I will step up as an FDT representative and say that with the RBT's you can't see what's going on underneath your machine.......with our superior foot pads we can see whats happening and see what a good job our machines do without having to dismount.:D

Sure, but if you had an RBT you could stand up and see whats in front of you when you had to Before you ran over it......8) That way you would never have to look underneath at the mess you just made:D
