My uncle in Vt just picked up an Oliver 1555 with a rear mount snow blower to clean around the farm. For what ever reason he says he has to blow snow in a Northerly direction for a few hundred feet, Which in the islands is into the wind. He has asked me to inquire weather or not there was any type of cab or canopy was made for this tractor? and if so can one still be obtained? Thank you Rob

Rob I'm not sure what was or is available for the Oliver but I'd start by contacting "The Original Tractor Cab" company(look for their ad and link on the SimpleTractors main page). Beyond that,he may have to start with a cab from another brand and adapt it to fit. With luck and creative engineering he'll be dry and somewhat warm. Tell him good luck.

Oliver sold steel/glass cabs for the '00, '50, and '55 series tractors (maybe Continental and/or Hiniker made). As far I know, not available anymore from Agco (successor to Oliver/White). Tractor Supply, Rural King, etc sell canvas type universal 'windbreakers'. I don't believe Original Tractor Cab is in that business any longer. I've on occasion seen the steel/glass cabs for sale on eBay or at auctions.

Rob, You might want to check out this vendor, I have had good luck with them on my Ford Jubilee. Vendor link http://www.valu-bilt.com Oliver cabs @ Valu-Bilt http://www.valu-bilt.com/cgi-bin/sgsh0101.exe?SKW=CAT1_NE,CAT2_BL&UID=2005021620360147&PAGLEN=8

Well Kris talked with the people at Valu-Bilt. To my amaze there cabs are only 3 sided. left right and front. No roof or back. I was surprized at that. Well back to the drawing board. Rob

Try checking tractor salvage yards for an old Hiniker or Year-around-Cab, I think they were universal? and I've seen some on Olivers. This reply and several following it were edited by SmilinSam 2-18-05
