Blowing snow

We got 6 inches of heavy wet snow. It really my the KT 17 kohler work. I would say it brought it to it's knees. I was at full throttle full speed ahead. How hard was it blowing? About 20 feet in the air. Quite an improvement now that I sped up blower. Blew my rotating spout off twice. Second time went forward into auger. I have one hold down on spout. Would work better with 3 hold downs.

Glad you had the patience to go real slow. I about dead east of you, about 124th and Capitol and it was sloppier yet. I left my two stage in garage and did all my work with plastic one stage. Slush seems slower to stick on plastic and shakes off easier if if directional vanes plug up.

Went out tonight after plow truck came thru finally. I went slower, think it was 80% water. Full throttle but kept blower full so it would not plug. Spout stayed on. I have blower running at 3100 rpm and have rubber inserts on paddles. I'm truly amazed how high it will blow that slop. Kohler was at full song, it is not like single Briggs. Like comparing propeller driven plane (Briggs) to a jet (KOHLER) motor ran excellent, most of mu prior problems I think had to do with how well it was charging.

I bolted 2 pieces of rubber belting onto 2 paddles at center of auger. They actually throw the snow, There is about a 1/2 gap at one point where these paddles travel. By closing that gap it forces snow out of machine, While mine are home made, there are kits available.
