Transmission swap/repair

Hello all, haven't posted much as the 4111 has been working well. Untill today. Was out blowin' snow and the trans (3speed)started popping in and out of gear. Could barely nurse it into the garage. Has anyone converted a 4000 series to a different trans (hydro,5speed)? Is the 3sp worth repairing? Parts available? Seems that most used trans's I find are from the 4212/5speeds. They use a different pulley arrangement though. Thanks,Rob.
