Powermax PTO problems

While dissasembling my 620 for other fixes I wanted to see why my rear pto quit lst summer. Since these aren't the easyest things to get apart, I put it off till project time. There was some talk of this problem awhile back, but here's a pic of just what will happen when the epoxy fails and comeos out of a 30 year old machine. It didn't take long under load for the coil to rub itself against the rotateing group and it would have soon worn the coil in too had it not ripped the supply wire loose first.B)[:0]:(!

The bad news is this clutch was never used by the orriginal owner and this is the result of the first time I got to use it. O-well. Better luck next time.

Hey Dave, Can you find the end wires of the coils? Were the wires damaged (I can't tell by the picture). I have the epoxy to repair these. It actually works pretty well. Epoxies have come a LONG way since these were build in the 70's. Let me know if I can help. JP

Hey JP, Do you have replacement springs and rivets for these clutches or an inexpensive alternative?

Dave wish I had a 620-720-- to have your problem. I know you'll get fixed. Ken next door
