Michigan Plowing

We got a plowable amount of snow in mid Michigan Sunday night. I was finally able to break out the Homelite T-16, I bought several weeks ago, for the first time and see how it plowed. The snow was rather wet but the T-16 didn't seem to have to much of a problem pushing it. My plowing time was cut in half using the T-16 being a hydro, rather then my 3112V. Over all I am very pleased withe the performance of the T-16 so far. Oops, stuck! Sucked into the ditch while backing up with the blade angled :(! Wayne, I pushed the hydro lever forward so the wheels were spinning and my wife (the photographer) and I pushed. The pic posted was actually the second time I put it in the ditch. Guess I will learn one of theses days. Dave, I didn't even think to bring my 3112 out to help [:0], Hmm, I guess I try and remember that "next time" ;)

Don't feel bad I'm sure most of the members have been stuck or worseB)? I dropped the front wheels off of the end of the driveway with the 9020 & snowblower:( The only way to have my wife help me was to pull it out with a warm^ pickup. Too cold for her to run the Legacy with no cab;).

I like looking at all the snow plowing picture from you guys. At my age it better to look than have to plow. Which doesn't happen very often here in S.C. As young man in Minn. my snow thrower had a 3 foot handle on it. By the way I have a T-10 Homelett an love it like all the rest.

Wayne, about a month ago I was out plowing with my 3112v, I had the machine in the garage about 3 time adjusting the belt stop which kept loosening up on me. To make a long story short, as I was backing it up in the garage in third gear after plowing I went to hit the brakes the tractor decided not to stop and I ran into my lower work bench cabinets busting em all up [:0]. Really not a big deal they were trashed anyway!

Nice looking tractor ya got there Brian. I also have a Homelite, a T-13 Shuttle, but unfortunately I over-restored mine to the point that it's reserved for shows and "maybe" pulling a trailer or lawn sweeper. I've considered hooking a plow behind it but it would need wheel weights and they scratch paint. Maybe someday! Lucky for me I have a few other tractors around to do the dirty work. It sure would be nice to have the hydro. I'm glad to see your tractor doing what these tractors were made to do. Here is a pic of my Homelite.

John, yeah lots of fun, it was just nice to have some snow to plow. It has been a lame winter for us... Dan, that is one sweet looking T-13, I would like to drive a Shuttle to see what it's like.
