I picked up a 410S today. It was what lead to all the kohler stuff:). There were no complete engines, except the blown KT17. There were alot of good parts though. I think I got 3 good carbs, and another little one. 3 Good starters, one like new and a bunch of blocks and sheetmetal. Some s/g's and even an old totally cast iron kohler. I might be able to use some of the rods that I got also. THe cranks will all need to be ground 0.010" under, but they have the proper size shaft that I need. The tractor has been welded up, and it also had a tach/hourmeter in it that was almost new with 22 hours on it:) I paid 300 for everything. Now I just have to get rid of some and make room for it all. I knew that the tachs were an option for those but I have never seen one. That is cool. I wouldnt mind having that for my 310. Good job Max,Matt8D

Graham, If you need them, I have a hood and rear fenders from a 410S.

Thanks for letting me know, But I think I'll use my hood and fenders from my 416 on this one. It has a straight driveshaft and great bgb, i can't be bothered taking it out and putting it in the 416. All I need to find now is a good 3 speed trans for it, get the 16 rebuilt and i have another good tractor.

I got the Kt17 tore apart, and found it was covered in so much sludge and gunk there was no way it could cool properly. No wonder it threw the rod. Looks like I can get it going again if I get the crank turned and get a new cylinder for the left side and a new half of the block. Until then I guess it'll go back together and I'll start going through the rest of the stuff.

Graham, can you find a brand name on that tach? Sure would like to find about half a doz of them.

Thanks mack, If you hadn't showed me that, I was thinking of packing it up and selling it. I installed it today, and it works, just it's less than 1/2 the actual speed, since i know it dosent idle at 400RPM
