Installed my hydraulic lift finally

I installed my Hydraulic lift yesterday on my B112. Hardest part was getting the old lever removed from the shaft. I finally had to use heat to get it to move. Took about 3 hours to do the job. My question is what are you guys doing for a side panel after you install the lift? I hate to do any cutting on my origional since it is in very good shape. Secondly do you guys cut the cross shaft off, or just leave it stick out where the lift lever used to be? Thanks Mark

The first one that I installed was a pain also trying to remove the lift arm. The last one that I did I cut the lift arm off right behind it on the cross shaft.

Like Tony said, leave it on in prace. That way you can go back too it if needed. You'll not notice it if you didn't know it was there to start with. I'm glad you like it. I knew you would. It's some improvement over the manual lift.

Mark, If you look under "Show and Tell" you will see the hydrolift that I just completed on My 716H. I left the arm on the shaft. In fact I am going to fabricate another piece to bolt onto the existing one that will match the one on the right side. I want to be able to use a left side rod for some implements. My modified Sears snowblower has a left side manual lift, which I am going to remove and hook a rod to the hydrolift. The left side connection will also allow the use of double rods for things like Johnny Buckets and other implements that are heavy but you want to lift evenly.
