I found an add it the local paper shop for a 72 MW GT it says 10hp,38"cut. Was Simplicity manufacturing for MW in 72'? If so what would the comparable model be in Simplicity? I don't want to call are go look unless it might be. It is reasonably priced and could use some parts/attachments. TIA

In 1972, it's likely a Gilson. As far as I know, the last Simplicity-made small Wards were about 1965. As Bob stated, the serial number will have a GIL in front of it if it is a Gilson, which I suspect it is... But Simplicity also make the Twin-20 latern-- which is a Powermax -- and could be a real rare find...

With the responses I got here and the statement it had a 38" deck I didn't bother calling. Thanks for the responses.

I think it would be cool to find a twin twenty. Never ssen one other than pictures. Another neat one to find would be the JCPenny verion of the 7016 around 1975. I think theres a picture of one on Simpletractors somewhere..

Okay, I did a little "hunting" Besides PeppyDan's posted above, GregC also has or had one, as well as RockyAcres, and the brother of Robert Rainwater. Can't find a Twin Twenty though... A little more searching found this...

I've still got mine. Not as pretty as Dan's... but maybe someday. It's the same as the first 7013S Simplicity.

Well it's definitly not a twin 20 variant it said 10hp, I was hoping it was a 3410 or something like that. Maybe I will call anyway, Gilson a not so bad tractor. Will let you know.
