Eeyore Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 My Dad has a Allis Chalmers Big 10, we believe it is a 66. Anyway he has had it about 15 years and is the second owner. He's thinking of selling it and I'd like to buy it, what would be a fair price? He has a mower deck, snow thrower, and a non-AC scraper blade. Its always run good but is certainly not a restoration. Any ideas? Thanks,
RayS Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Hi Dave and welcome to the club. There only worth what your willing to pay for them. Snowblowers around here go from a $100.00-$300.00. I`ve seen tractors go on ebay for up to $700.00 depending on condition and what one is will to shell out.
D-17_Dave Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 If your looking for something to work, does everything still work or does it need work. Ready to go shape I'd say 300 to 400.
toad270 Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 first of all what does your dad want for it after all we need to keep family members Happy I' say 500 to 600 wouldn't be a bad price at all for the attacthments and the shape that its in according to your description These are GREAT tractors and last for a long time or you could pay 800 for a mtd and replace it in 4 years because it is shot
rokon2813 Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 I'd say the biggest thing is what does he want for it??? Family members are a different story. Sometimes you get the best deals from them, while other times, you will not get anything for less than "top dollar" ;)
Woodydel Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 Ask him to give it to you. Cut his grass once a week and blow his snow for the rest of your his life. You will both be getting a good deal. You'll be visiting often and he'll be glad to see you. You're family. Right?
