Rebuild kit for Briggs motor

I was wondering if any one could tell me the best place to find a rebuild kit for a 10 HP Briggs.It was in a B210 and run when I took it out but it smoked really bad.The number on the motor is 243431-0123-017004231.Any help would be great. Thanks J.R.

There is no rebuild kit other then the overhaul gasket set and carb rebuilding kit. Other then that its all by indiviual numbers.

Where can I find these numbers?Who might have these individual parts?I would really like to save this motor if possible.Thanks for your help.J.R.

J.R., I have a new standard size piston for that motor that I'd make you a deal on if you are interested. I rebuilt my B-10 the other weekend. Thought the wrist pin came with the piston assembly but it didn't so I just used the old piston and used the new rings from the kit. Didn't use the new piston. No smoke after the rebuild. To rebuild mine, I just ordered parts from Briggs. 299085 standard piston assembly (includes piston, rings, clips) 299101 gasket set 394989 carb kit If you want to use a new piston, order the pin (298401). If not, just order the rings (299089) Lewis

Thanks for the offer but if I do rebuild it I'm going to have to have it bored out.My cylinder wall is worn really bad.I may just try to find a 12-16 hp motor in better shape. JR

I just rebuilt my AC B-110,10 hp Briggs & Stratton engine 243401. Had to buy the .020 oversize piston and rings. The .010 oversize piston and rings is N/A from Briggs & Stratton. [url]www.simplicityva.com[/url] Karl
