skubbs Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 The tractor is wired up, tuned up and fueled up. Runs real smooth, no smoke, goes from creeping to speeding like it was new. It'll do a fine job tilling and mowing. Well worth $100.00. I also got it with a garden plow. Has anyone plowed a garden with one of these? Seems like a lot of work for a little tractor. Also, would it be relatively simple to set up the tractor with a front-end loader? Thanks

D-17_Dave Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Good job on the gettin' er done. It'll plow fine. If you beat and bang on it with a loader, that'll get hard on it.
tillerman Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I love the way my 917 plows . I put a chain on the left wheel. Really can turn lots of soil with it. Sounds like you got a real deal.
maxtorman1234 Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 They plow well, I plow a clay garden, and it does it easy. You did real good, If its a kohler 16, you could easily get 600-800 for it.
Karl_Brandt Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 These tractors plow the ground very good. I have used my Allis Chalmers B-12 to plow and roto tiller the ground last year work very good. www.simplicityva.com Karl
MN_FISH Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Hey Mack great pictures^. How many acres did you guys plow?:D Nice looking pictures in your gallery also;)
10HorseMan Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I plow sand, and it's relatavely easy. Yeah, how many acres did y'all plow.
rokon2813 Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I'm curious about those "plow days" When your all done playing with your plows, do you all break out the discs or leave it for the landowner to take care of?? [:0]
