Tiller ID

I responded to a for sale ad today for a AC/Simplicity garden tractor tiller. It wasn't what I was hoping for,but I couldn't just leave it there on his junk pile.;) Any ideas as to a model #? It's 32" outside to outside, so I think it is a 30" tiller.

Try this: 30" Rotary Tiller 1600343 Is my guess for P/N Below are tractors it should fit. It won't fit anything else. I know as I had one. 5010 Mfg. No. 1690007 Requires No Kit 5008 Mfg. No. 1690008 " 738 B/M Mfg. No. 990898 " 728 B/M Mfg. No. 990765, 577 Requires Kit 103283 727 B/M Mfg. No. 990489 " 648 Yeoman Mfg. No. 990899 Requires No Kit 637 Yeoman Mfg. No. 990764,763 Requires Kit 103283 627 Yeoman Mfg. No. 990646, 645, 579, " 578, 542, 486 You can go to the Simplicity site and download the book. Also the most important part is still on the garden tractor. That is the 'U' bracket mounted with trailer hitch that supports it all. Go back and look for it. Other wise you can't do much.

It's probably a #990628 or a #990930. I think the #1600343 tillers were all probably white or a creme color. The one I have is.

You are right Bob, they're very hard to come by.

Thats the mystery bracket that I had on my 207 some time back. But I think I let it go with the tractor when it went north.

Dave, The hitch support that you had on your 207 was probably even more rare. I think it only came with the vac system and it mounted a little different.

I took mine and duplicated a new one by taking three pieces of metal and creating a u-shape by welding them together. i could probablt send you a drawing if you need it

I don't have any of the smaller tractors,so I really have no use for it.(I'm gonna put it in the classifieds) But if you could post a drawing,I'm sure it would be helpful to many others if it is as hard a part to come by as they say.

It's a 990930 tiller I have one it goes on my 727 broadmoor. The hitch attachment is # 123096. I made one for my tractor, don't know if it will work yet because I'm still painting and putting the tractor together. Didn't see the lift rod with tiller its # 176202. Nice find.
