pintopete Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Does anyone know where I can get a replacement seat for a 1971 Simplicity Landlord 3310H tractor? Thanks, Peter.
RayS Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 More than likely they are available still thru Simplicity.
orangeone Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 They still are but the price is $115.00. I "JUST " asked.
BobT Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Try Northern Tool. http://www.northerntool.com/ I bought this one for my Allis-Chalmers 416H. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=8256&R=8256
Chris727 Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 Most of the universal high back seats don't fit the holes on the fender but you can make an adapter plate. On my 3410 I used a universal high back seat and my Dad made an adapter with aluminum angle so you can adjust between two positions. I think theres a pic of it in my profile. For my AC710 I got a seat from a Tractor Supply (not affiliated with the TSC chain) for $69. They thought it was a cub seat but weren't sure. Looks identical to my original seat except the mounting holes were different so I had to drill new ones on the seat deck, which was rusted out anyway so it wasn't a big deal. If you buy a universal high back seat Lowes has nice ones for $40. I'm looking into finding a cheaper source than simplicity for the original style seats which were made by Michigan Seat Co. Here is a link to that seat but I don't think they sell to the public, I'd like to find just a new seat cover for my Sov. http://www.mi-seat.com/lawngarden/v475.html
BobT Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 The seat from Northern Tool fit my 416H without any drilling. (Probably because it was made by Michigan Seat.) It has a number of different mounting points.
msiebern Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Rural King has the high back universal (Michigan) seats for $34.99. I have installed two of them on my 7XXX series tractors and have not had a problem with them fitting. :) My tractors have the hinged seat mounts with the slotted holes so the seat doesn't bolt directly to the seat pan. http://ruralking.com/rko/cart.cgi?PRODUCT=003750027&SPD=YTQ59626040uqAw
