We have used decals from Maple- Hunter on our big tractors in the past and have been quite satisfied with them. There are usually booths with people selling them at a lot of the shows. These look like different stock than the ones we got the big ones on, but it is hard to tell from the picure. For $48 I might try a set for the B-110. Thanks for posting. I wasn't aware they made them for the smaller tractors.

That is where I got mine for my Early B-10 and can't wait to paint it so I can put them on. His quality is getting better but be very cautious. This guy must not have known AC/simplicity very well. I bought a set for my B110. I got exactly what was pictured on ebay. Basically I got most of the right decals but no decal for under the hood, none of the AC decals that go on the engine shroud, a few others were not in the set. I got some others in the set which were useless to me. He sent me a rear fender decal for a Homesteader or B207, and a shift decal for the same machine and they were wrong because he outlined them with chrome, which looks nice but original is white. On the decal for the top of my dash, the font is wrong for "ammeter." I will say that the sets he now has listed on ebay look better and more complete now including the service specs for under the hood and the motor shroud decals. I guess I just bought mine too early! I think he is figuring out which decals are for which tractors now. He just started making the B10/12 decals and they look good in the pics. I'll try and get some pics up of mine later.

I am a firm believer in "You get what you pay for". I think Mark Wells has the best decals and he is an A-C man. The B in the B-1 decals is the wrong font also and the early B10 hood decals dont even look close to me. Also the gas tank decal is wrong. I will stick to Wells for mine and he is as nice as they come.. My two cents worth,Matt

I gotta agree with "you get what you pay for", those prices are very tempting. I have bought a number of sets from Wells also, and have yet to be dissapointed. The sticker shock stings a bit in the beginning, but by the time I have sandblasted, painted, and reassembled my tractors; I am not looking for the cheapest route. Mark has been very easy to work with.

Mark Wells will also sell individual decals and has the ones for hydrolift tractors and the high-low decal...

I know Wells has the best decals but some of us can't pay $150 for a set of them. I know the maple hunter decals aren't perfect but they are actually affordable and to me are much better than anything I could get a sign shop to make. I guess I'm just cheap but who isn't. Yes Mark is nice, I asked him about individual prices on the decals that didn't come in the maple hunter set but by the time I would have bought all of those I might as well have bought Well's entire set in the first place. But be aware the missing decals are now included in maples set, I can't argue becuase I knew what I was getting. Here is the difference on the ammeter decal. The holes aren't even pre-cut for the push button and ammeter. The font is way off but I know he could easily fix that. The Ignition decal is the same font and its correct.

The hood decals look very good.

Shown below are the decals I got. Two of which are for a B207. I would have used them on my Homesteader but he outlined them with chrome instead of white.

The serial # tag has some slight differences in font on "model" and "serial" but I'm very particular about originality. That doesn't really go well with limited funds. Most people couldn't tell the difference unless you pointed it out. Also the font of Allis Chalmers for any of the decals where it appears under the black and orange AC logo is incorrect. I don't even have to see it up close to tell you that. I should also point out that I think he is now pre-cutting the holes on the dash decal though I'm not certain. In conclusion, I don't know weather to recommend Maple Hunter or not, depends on how particular you are. If you buy from maple make sure you get the right ones and complain if you don't. It does appear he is getting better. I would say if you have the $$$ go for Wells.

If you want good decals that will last a long time then you have to do your homework first..I did alot of research when I had decals made for the Broadmoor..Not only do you have to worry about how they will look but the when you get them but how will they hold up if you tractor is out in the wet, sun, cold and hot weather alot.. Being in the autobody industery I have seen decal material so cheap that the glue on the back wouldn't even stick..I have seen them screen printed only to see when they get rained on or washed the ink washes away or fade.I have seen where the decal fades out within a year do to being in the weather (sun, rain ect..).. They have several different ways to make these decals. 1)They can over-lay the colors.(cut out all the colors and lay them out on the base color)These can sometimes get very thick with all the layers.. 2)They can screen print them..just printed with a special ink that is supposed to hold up well but are only warrantied for 1-2 years..These are what I have seen fade away with washing sun ect. 3)They can thermal trasnfer them..this is printed with a ink that melts into the vinyl and then is covered with a vinyl clear protective cover that is done all in the printing process..They are warrantied for 5 years against fade ect..That is what I used for the Broadmoor.. The thermal transfer decals for a set on these tractors would run about $100 for a set (my guess).. I bought a set of decals from ebay for my 64 Landlord and they was overlayed..Not sure who I bought them from now but some of them was not identical to what I needed..This was a couple years ago and I never did use them and doubt I will..The artwork was good for the ones that did match what I needed though.. All in all these cheaper decals are good for a tractor that stays inside most of the time..The screen printed ones would be ok if you clear coat them to help protect them..I guess I am just to picky when it come to doing all the hard work repainting these tractors and then applying cheap decals..

I have to agree with you here...}:) If I had a tractor with perfect tin and had the exact color match on the paint (we are talking B series Allis here) then it would be a no brainer to go for the best, but if I had a tractor that I wanted to clean up and make as nice as possible for a daily user, then the Maple decals would be fine in my book. No use putting $150 dollar decals on a $300 machine. The Maple decals offer an alternative for those on a limited budget or who just want to clean up their old machine. If you are restoring a show piece then go for the best you can find. Thanks for posting them as alternate source. One other example, you wouldn't put $150 decals on a rattle can paint job:p

Matt, In all fairness to Toad270 and Maple-Hunter decals, the early B10 set does look to be right. You said it wasn't even close, were you thinking of a bumble bee 10? I looked at the pic of Wells decals for early B10 and studied both carefully. Only difference I can find between the two sets were the triangular AC-logo's vary slightly but the gas tank decals both appear to be the same font, so if Maple's is wrong then so is Well's.
