I have a b 212 my axle shaft is worn down on the left side wanting to know if this axle would be difficult to take out also how do you take it out, do you have to tear the rear end down or will the axle slide straight out. thanks everyone

1.) Jack/block up tractor and remove rear wheels. 2.) Remove collar and hub on right side. 3.) Loosten collar on left side axle that sits against tube on tranny. 4.) Push axle as far to right as possible. Collar shouls slide till it touches hub on left side. 5.) Remove spacer washers, gear, and keys from axle on right side. 6.) Remove the spring clip that is in the groove on the axle on right side. 7.) Remove entire axle from left side. It should slide completely out. This works on all large frame axles. If you have a removable left side hub, you can try an alternate method. 1.) Remove left side hub from axle. 2.) Remove collar from left side axle. 3.) Pull entire axle assembly out right side. I've taken both the old style and new style apart. I hope my memory is correct and I didn't forget anything.
