I picked this up from a friend today. It isn't an Allis, but it was free:). Those sell fairly good in parts. Most of the parts will interchange with The Jacobsen anfd Minneapolis Molines of the same style. All were built by Jacobsen. Should be $300-$500 in parts there especially if it has a decent deck.

I'd throw a Kohler 301 or 321 in it if it has a good drive line and get some more years of work out of it and restore it to its former glory.

I agree with bigcountry, restore her. It looks like a real nice rolling chasis and the older fords are getting hard to find.

I think I'll get a couple years out of it hauling logs, then maybe restore it. I have yet to pick up the deck, which is solid, just needs bearings and idlers.

You may remember my picking one of those ( Jacobsen ) at the scrap yard for 50 bucks. I put wheels and tires on it, built the carb and replaced the head gasket.. It runs like a top..Did you get the PTO clutch with that one?

I didn't know you got one. Do you cut with it? I have the deck to pick up also, its solid. I didn't get the clutch, but if i'm going to restore it i'll need to find one. Right now I plan on using a pulley on the engine, since the brake acts like a clutch anywyas. Just can't use the deck

I finally got it going. I put a good crank and rod in a 14 i had, so now it runs good. I put a pulley on the engine to drive the transmission. I rewired it and it works now. It goes pretty fast and the trans is powerful. Should make a good work machine. I'm happy with it, and its easy to work on. I have about 100 in it now.
