extra wires on TH18

Took the cooling fin shrouds off of the Sovereign (TH 18 OHC Kohler)to clean everything properly, and noticed a set of spare wires, black, and green neatly tucked away beneath the number two cover. Obviously, in it's current configuration these are not used, but was wondering if anyone may have an idea as to their purpose? I'm sure as soon as someone replies I'll do the old 'head whack/why didn't I think of that' reaction.[:0] Thanks Gord

I believe the wires, black and green, are used for an oil pressure switch.
