tweeter6216 Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I finally got my motor to start. The throttle flap inside the carb was not closing as far as it should. Now the motor runs sloppy when the throttle is high (rabbit). It is not as smooth running. I tried adjusting the screw directly below the fuel pump on the carb but when I adjust to smooth out the engine, the engine will not start until the screw is turned out 1 1/2 turns. Any solutions?
D-17_Dave Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I could go into a long answer about how to adjust a carb. But the best explanation w/ pics and referance would be to get a Briggs manual. Best money I spent as a 10 year old starting to work on these things.
