Stuck in first gear.

AC 710 3 speed 10 H.P. B/S. Any one know what I can do to get it out of 1st gear that it's stuck in. Or do I have a major problem? The tractor will start In gear like it is.

Are you sure you don't have a kohler on that tractor? Also if it starts in gear your neutral start safetey is not working or has been bypassed. My 710 was stuck in the top two gears when I got it. The bent screwdriver method worked great. Now its one of my favorite tractors.

Thanks everybody. Kirk the link helped a bunch. Chris now that I think about it, it is a kohler but it is 10 HP. I'll go home tonight and gave it a try, the bent screw driver thing. Again thanks.

Well we unstuck it to it. Was a pretty simple operation.
