JJ MARSHALL 0 Posted April 15, 2005 [img]/club2/attach/jj marshall/allis chamler 003.jpg[/img] this is what been doing most of the week, turning a 312 A/C into a 318 i replaced the KOHLER engine with a BRIGGS & STRATTON was there a topic awhile back about, when changing engine from a KOHLER to a B&S or a B&S to a KOHLER that you also had to change the switch? this is the second one that i have done like this,and i have not had to change the switch either time. Salthart 0 Posted April 15, 2005 JJ, On battery fired Kohlers you run voltage to the coil from the switch. If you run the same V to the magneto on a Briggs, you'll fry it.
