hjb Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 The hydraulic pressure on my AC model 5050 drops from around 2000 psi when cold to 1100 psi as the tractor warms up. Do I need a new pump or is it could it be something else? Thanks
D-17_Dave Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 A pump is a deffinate possibility, but there may be several things wrong. How are you monitoring the pressure? Whitch pump are you testing, an internal pump routed through the tractor controls, or an external pump isolated for a certain acc. like a front drive loader. The best way to determain what is happening is to isolate the componants from each other and place a test load on it. I use an in line flow meter with a slow controled needle shut off valve with a relief valve bypass built in for safety of the pump. It's not something everyone has but it's very accurate for the task.
