samson 1 Posted May 8, 2005 An exellent place for B-AC tractors is at Maple Hunter lawn and garden P.O. box 9891 College station Texas 77842 Tony or Carrie Giletto. Thier Email addr. is lawngardendecals@yahoo.com. The sets run from $36 to $44. I bought the B12 and an early B10 for $98.46 including the shipping. The decals are really nice Samson
Kent 435 Posted May 8, 2005 Thanks for posting this. They sent me a price list for their complete B-series list, but I haven't had time to add it to the site. They make all kinds of big, ag tractor decals, and have just added the Allis L&G stuff to their offerings... Let us know what you think of the quality, and how complete the kits are. For example, Wells even has the decals for the motor as a part of their package.
firefoxz1 4 Posted May 8, 2005 I have Simplicities. Where is the best/any place for them? I seem to be able to find A/C but not Simplicity, maybe I'll just paint them yellow and put on the A/C decals. LOL
Kent 435 Posted May 8, 2005 No one offers complete, "off-the-shelf" sets for Simplicity tractors that I know of. UncleBob (listed on Simple trACtors as a source) can make custom, complete sets. A couple of other folks have sold incomplete sets for the oldies on eBay... The problem with decals, according to Simplicity, is that they only have a shelf life of 5-7 years on a parts shelf before they deteriorate due to exposure to light and air... It's not seen as practical for them to stock them for 30+ year old tractors.
maxtorman1234 0 Posted May 8, 2005 Do any places have reasonably priced decals for the 300/400 series? I havent seen any, only at Wells, and $100 + is too much for me to spend on them. Thanks,
DavidG 0 Posted May 8, 2005 I also just got a set of early B-10 decals from Maple-Hunter decals, via E-bay about 2 weeks ago. Very good quality, and fast to ship. The only thing, is the set doesn't come with the Serial/model number decal, and the one that goes on the side of the air cleaner. If you can live with that, they are well worth the price. samson 1 Posted May 9, 2005 The B12 decals had the mdl. ser # decal as well as the motor and air cleaner decals, but you are right the early B10 is missing those. I will Email them and ask. Other than that the decals are top quality and dealing with Maple Hunter was AONE.
toad270 15 Posted May 9, 2005 David can you take a picture of the whole tractor so i can use it in my screensaver/inspiration pages looks like you did a GREAT job on the restoration
ehertzfeld 1 Posted May 9, 2005 This is the set I got from them for my B1. As far as the air cleaner, my air cleaner has the info stamped on it. I figured that was why the decal set didn't come with one. I paid somthing like 35$ or so for this set. I posted about them a few monthes ago. I am happy with them, but some seem to have problems with the quality. I guess the font for the "B" is not the same as the original. There may be a few other small diferences but I don't remember right now. If you want to know look for my post "new sorce for decals". If your looking to restore to exact original, these may not be right for you. But it's hard to pass up the cheep price! I have a full catalog like Kent does, as of right now, they don't do Simplicity. Hopfully in the future they will. Elon
