Synthetic Grease

Recommended Posts

I did not know this till the other day. I was talking with a mechanic and he told me the only thing he will use is synthetic grease. When asked why he said it has a larger operating temperature range and does not dry up like non-synthetic grease does. Just thought I would pass this on. This mechanic has never steared me wrong and does not sell grease.

At the company I work for we switched to synthetic greases for just the reasons you mentioned. We have had very good luck with them, we also use synthetic oils in all the gearbox, and pump applications used outside, and are now converting alot the stuff inside as well. I think that synthetic easily out preforms the regular lubricants.

All the "BIG" trailers made in the past 5 or six years have switched from oil to synthetic grease. It's not your average grease, it's very runny, and messy. From what we have heard from the "experts", they have seen alot less of axle problems. We still see a few but they are rare. Elon

Site programming updates were made 3/23/2024. As a result some things have changed including dues payment options. We will continue maintenance and work with technicians to regain credit card payment option and clear up minor challenges. On positive it appears attaching pictures is now easier. Good day. Gene
