B-10 won't Start

My Early B-10 has decided not to start anymore unless jumped. I looked but cant find how to troubleshoot the eletrical system? Can you guys help with an old post that told how to make sure that the charging system is working correct something about the field wire and grounding it. I'm buying a battery charger tonight P.S. the amp gage has not shown a charge for about 2 years but still started with no problems even in winter in unheated garage

Have you checked your battery connections, and condition? Go with the simple things first.
