Paul_B Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Does the starter generator in my 3416 have replaceable bearings or bushings? If so where can you get them and how hard is it to do?
BLT Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 The drive end will always have a bearing. The commutator side can be either a bushing or bearing. I converted all mine to bearings as the bushings didn't hold up as good. I think parts might be a problem now. The change over was fairly easy for me. You can tell real quick what it is. The bushing end extends out about a 1/2" in the cover and the bearing doesn't.
JJ MARSHALL Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 the from end < the pulley end should have a bearring the other end without seeing i don't know.looking at the back end does it have a large bearring type center or a small bushing type. i know what i trying to ask you but i don't know how to type it.
