5K4LIFE Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I was cutting the lawn yesterday and my 414s stop moving. I thought it may have slipped out of gear, but that wasn't the case. I tried moving the shuttle drive back to neutral and then back into forward. When I did this I noticed that if I pushed hard on the shuttle lever, it would engage. It started working ok, but I still needed to push on the shuttle drive handle when going up hills.[V] Is this a PTO problem , or something else.? Please help.:)
D-17_Dave Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Lift the seat pan out and look at the shuttle shift pulleand idler. Look for belt wear and a bad idler, or something that may have come undone on the shifter linkage.
Mack Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Check the spring on the idler,I've had them break and just be hanging around not doing their job.;)
